Seeing sorcery done on you in a dream: what does it mean in Islam?

Seeing sorcery, or seeing sorcery done on you, in a dream points to someone who wishes you harm. This person may be a colleague, a neighbour or someone in your close circle; it is a warning about someone who wants to spoil your work, your marriage or your peace.

The symbols in your dream

• Seeing sorcery done on you: Points to someone who wishes you harm and tries to disrupt your work or your home.
• Recognising the person doing it: Points to their intention coming to light and you being protected from them.
• The sorcery being broken or lifted by recitation: Points to this ill will not reaching you; Allah will protect you.
• Finding objects of sorcery at home: It is a warning about an influence that wants to disturb the peace of your home; fill your home with remembrance of Allah.

In short

Although a sorcery dream looks frightening, it is a dream of warning and protection. There may be someone around you who does not look on you kindly; but no one's harm can reach the one who seeks refuge in Allah. If you saw the sorcery being broken in your dream, it gives glad tidings that this ill will comes to nothing.

Advice

• Recite Ayat al-Kursi and Surah al-Falaq and an-Nas morning and evening.
• Do not share your plans and private life with everyone.
• Seek refuge in Allah from the harm of the dream and do not tell it to anyone; it will not harm you.

Allah knows best the truth of dreams.
