Your ex messaging you in a dream: what does it mean in Islam?

Your ex messaging you in a dream points to them still following you from afar and wanting to contact you without daring to. The content of the message and your feelings in the dream decide the meaning.

The symbols in your dream

• Your ex sending a message: Points to them thinking of you and wanting contact.
• A sweet, apologetic message: Points to the hurt between you softening.
• A hurtful message: Points to them still carrying resentment; keep your distance.
• Not replying to the message: Points to you being ready to leave the past behind.
• Seeing your ex with their back turned: Points to the relationship not starting again.

In short

This dream usually shows that the past has not fully closed. Your ex may still be curious about you, but that does not mean the relationship will return. The peace or unease you felt in the dream shows you which way to go.

Advice

• Make decisions about the past calmly, without being carried away by emotion.
• If you are unsure, pray istikhara and ask for what is good.
• In relationships that tire your heart, put your own peace first.

Allah knows best the truth of dreams.
