Seeing a bear in a dream: what does it mean in Islam?

Seeing a bear in a dream is usually not interpreted as good in the Islamic tradition of dream interpretation; it is seen as a cunning, treacherous person or someone who could cause harm thoughtlessly. But the bear's state and your attitude toward it soften the meaning.

The symbols in your dream

• An angry bear: Someone with ill intent seeking revenge; a relationship to be careful about.
• A weak, scrawny bear: A rival who can do little harm.
• A calm, tame bear: A quiet rival, or friendship that comes after hostility.
• Defeating or killing a bear: Getting the better of someone who is against you.
• Riding a bear: In the tradition, a position; or deliverance after fear.

Seeing a bear in a dream: other variations

• Seeing a brown bear in a dream: Points to getting through hard conditions.
• A bear entering the house in a dream: Points to theft or someone secretly gathering information about you.
• Being friends with a bear in a dream: It is a warning about a thoughtless friend and the harm they may bring.

In short

A bear dream is mostly a warning about the intentions of someone around you or about your own hasty behaviour. The dream reminds you to give your trust carefully and to protect your information. If you defeated the bear or it ran from you, it points to the difficulty not being able to reach you.

Advice

• Seek refuge in Allah from the evil of Shaytan and do not tell the dream to anyone; it will not harm you.
• Do not share your personal information and plans with everyone.
• Do not hold a grudge against anyone; prayer is the strongest protection.

Allah knows best the truth of dreams.
