Taking a bath in a dream: what does it mean in Islam?

Taking a bath in a dream points to being freed from worry, grief and sorrow. In the classical interpretation, washing with cold water is repentance, healing and debts being paid.

The symbols in your dream

• Taking a bath: Points to being cleansed of the worries that wear you down, and relief.
• Washing with cold water: Points to repentance, healing and debts being paid.
• Washing in cloudy water: Points to a bad period ending and healing.
• Washing in muddy water: It is a warning of a worry increasing; avoid hasty steps.
• Coming out of the bath clean and light: Points to a new, peaceful beginning.

In short

A bath dream is a dream of cleansing and release. If something has been upsetting you for a while, you will soon be freed from it and feel lighter. If you washed in clean water, this relief will show in both your heart and your affairs.

Advice

• If your dream was good, thank Allah and share it only with people who love you.
• As part of the cleansing, increase repentance and prayers for forgiveness.
