Seeing a spider in a dream: what does it mean in Islam?

Seeing a spider in a dream is most often interpreted in the Islamic tradition of dream interpretation as a weak but cunning person or a plan woven bit by bit. The Quran mentions the spider's web as the frailest of houses; so a spider dream often points to things that look solid but are actually weak.

The symbols in your dream

• Seeing a spider: A weak person who may resort to tricks.
• A spider web: Work or a plan that looks solid but does not last; sometimes a situation you are caught in.
• Clearing away the web: Getting out of a tangle and putting things in order.
• Being bitten by a spider: An insignificant harm or a hurtful word.
• Killing a spider: Foiling a trick.

Seeing a spider in a dream: other variations

• A married person seeing a spider in a dream: Points to a person or situation that threatens the peace of the home.
• Throwing a spider outside in a dream: Points to the marriage coming through unharmed.
• A spider falling from the ceiling in a dream: Points to a harsh winter.

In short

A spider dream mostly points to situations in your life that look complicated but can actually be resolved. The dream reminds you to question whether what you rely on is solid and to build your affairs on more trustworthy foundations. If you cleared away the web, it points to you getting out of the tangle.

Advice

• If the dream unsettled you, seek refuge in Allah and do not tell it to anyone; it will not harm you.
• Put your home and your affairs in order; order brings peace to the heart.
• Seek your support not in people but in Allah.

Allah knows best the truth of dreams.
