An interpretation in the Islamic tradition of dream interpretation

You
I dreamed that I died. What does it mean?
Seeing your own death in a dream is frightening, but in the Islamic tradition of dream interpretation this dream is not interpreted as news of death. The Quran tells us that sleep is like a small death; seeing your own death is usually interpreted as one chapter closing and another opening, repentance and a change in life.
The symbols in your dream
Dying and coming back to life: Release from a hardship, repentance and finding strength again.
Dying peacefully: Interpreted as the end of a burden, a long life and a good ending.
Being shrouded or seeing a funeral: A matter coming to an end; in some interpretations, a warning about faith and character.
Dying without people crying: In the tradition a lighter sign, interpreted as the change passing calmly.
Being afraid of death: A reflection of an uncertainty or worry in your life.
Dying in a dream: other variations
Coming out of a grave in a dream: Points to repentance and turning a new page.
Being carried on shoulders but not buried in a dream: Points to overcoming enemies and, if deserving, gaining a position.
Jumping over a grave in a dream: Points to your worries being unfounded.
Getting engaged to a deceased person in a dream: Points to a troubled, sad period; give charity and pray.
In short
Seeing your own death is mostly about something ending in your life and something new beginning: leaving a habit, closing a chapter or turning to Allah. The dream was not seen to frighten you but to remind you of the value of life and the beauty of repentance. No one can conclude from a dream that their time has come; only Allah knows a person's lifespan.
Advice
If the dream frightened you, seek refuge in Allah from the evil of Shaytan, lightly spit three times to your left, turn onto your other side, and do not tell the dream to anyone; it will not harm you.
Repent and begin the good deeds you have been putting off.
Getting up and praying two rak'ahs calms the heart.
Allah knows best the truth of dreams.
