Dreams about death can be frightening, but in classical interpretation they rarely mean an actual death. More often they point to a change of state, repentance, long life or the end of a worry. Seeing a deceased person smiling points to their good state, and what they say in a dream is taken as true. Dreams of Paradise and Hell carry good news and warnings.
