Prayer (salah)
The obligatory prayer is a duty, the fulfilment of a trust, and safety. Praying on time, in wudu, facing the qibla and completely means fulfilling what Allah has made obligatory (Hajj, a right or a debt), keeping one's word and making peace with someone one had cut off.
- Completing the prayer: The matter one wants being completed; for a debtor, the debt being paid
- The noon (dhuhr) prayer: One's need being met and success in worldly and religious matters
- The afternoon (asr) prayer: Ease after hardship
- The Friday prayer: Near relief, meeting a loved one and a wish being fulfilled
- The Eid prayer: Debts paid, the sick healed, moving from hardship to ease
- A voluntary prayer: Growth in faith and holding to the Sunnah
- Praying toward the qibla: Being on the straight path
- Being unable to find the qibla: Confusion in one's faith
- Missing a prayer and finding no place to pray it: Difficulty in one's affairs
