I dreamed that I was drinking water. What does it mean?
Drinking water in a dream is interpreted in the Islamic tradition of dream interpretation as life, mercy, knowledge and provision. Whether the water is clear and sweet or murky and salty changes the meaning clearly.
The symbols in your dream
Drinking clear, cool water: A good life, relief, knowledge and halal provision.
Quenching your thirst: Reaching something you have long waited for, a worry settling.
Drinking from a flowing river: Benefit and support from a respected person.
Murky or bitter water: A hardship or worry; take care with your earnings and those around you.
Giving someone water: Becoming a means of good; giving water is among the best forms of charity.
Drinking water in a dream: other variations
Drinking hot water in a dream: Points to an illness that will pass.
Water gushing out in a dream: Points to getting what you need: news you are waiting for or money.
Seeing a water well in a dream: Points to needs being met; an empty well is a bad sign.
Water running to waste in a dream: Points to waste and not using chances in time.
Walking on water in a dream: Points to strong faith and trust in Allah.
Washing with cold water in a dream: Points to repentance, healing, debts paid and safety from fear.
In short
A water dream is mostly about your heart and life finding relief. If you drank clear, pleasant water, it points to a period in which your difficulties settle and your heart finds peace. If the water was murky, the dream reminds you to take care with your earnings and your relationships.
